You are viewing the overview page of the Upload step which is part of
the Convert to DITA process. In this step you can upload your documents in
one of the following formats:
- Adobe FrameMaker™ MIF1
- Microsoft Word ™ DOC and DOCX2
- Rich Text Format (RTF)
- HTML3
- Media files4
- ZIP archives5
Notes
1 Maker Interchange Format (MIF) version 7 and higher are officially supported, but version 6 has been tested successfully.
2 Version 97 and higher.
3 HTML files can be uploaded as single page (HTML or HTM) or as message archive (MHTML).
4 These are formats of files referenced in your documents. They will not be vissible from within the DITA Migration
basket but instead be stored in the media folder of the repository to which the basket is attached. Uploading media files has
the benefit that they can be displayed in a preview of the document. They are not needed for the conversion to DITA. The following
formats are supported: emf, eps, jpg, jpeg, mml, gif, pdf, png, ppt, pptx, svg, tiff, wmf, xls, xlsx
5 Multiple files can be uploaded at once by archiving them into a zip file. The name of the zip file can be selected as the
name of the folder for storing input documents and media files.
