Overview of the Content Mappings step

You are viewing the overview page of the Content Mappings step which is part of the Convert to DITA process. In this step you map content to DITA structure using the styles1 in your migration template document. Mappings can be defined conditionally2 at the template level in preview mode using a dialog window. There are two kinds of mappings:

  • Paragraph level mappings - To be mapped to DITA block level structures.
  • Phrase level mappings - To be mapped to DITA generic phrase level structures and domain specializations.

Notes

1 Different mappings can be defined for the regular use of a style and its overrides.

2 The topic types supported by default are: topic, concept, task, and reference. Other topic types or your own can be added to this list. Contact Stilo to find out how.
