You are viewing the information page of the Analysis step which is part of the Convert to DITA process. In this step the content in your document is analyzed and a report is produced with the following information:
- Aggregate information such as number of pages1, characters, formulae, tables, images and textboxes
- Style usage information (properties, frequency, overrides)2
- Table layouts (borders, shading, etc.) that cannot be rendered in the target format
- Missing images
- Broken cross references
- Embedding of tables or formulae in images that cannot be rendered using SVG
- Mathematical symbols that have no equivalent representation in MathML
The analysis report will save you considerable time in the quality assurance phase; you do not have to check the output on every single item but you can focus on the items reported.
Notes
1 As reported by the authoring tool and may not be reliable as the character count which is performed as part of the analysis.
2 The style usage information is used extensively within Stilo Migrate in the Commonality Analysis, the Topic Breaks mappings and the Content Mappings.
